Tissue Paper Pom Poms!

Hey everyone! I took a little break from blogging because, well, to be honest, I had nothing to blog about! I'm sure you all wanted to see pictures of me filing papers and putting away random things in my classroom, right?!  Yeah.. I didn't think so!

So, I asked my mom the other night if she would help me make some tissue paper pom poms and even though it brings back all of these wedding memories that we'd like to NEVER revisit (only because we breathed wedding decorations for months), she said yes. Here are some pics!
I got 10 sheets per package at Hobby Lobby for $1. That was the cheapest I had found besides Dollar Tree, but you get a zillion different colors in those packs. This was ribbon that I already had.

The scraps. We both thought it would be silly to throw them away so I kept them in a ziploc bag and I think I'm going to put them in a vase with fake flowers for my desk. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Well, um, I guess in this case my trash is my treasure? Oh well.

And here's one place where I put some. I just thought this board needed something! But, now I feel like it STIlLL needs something. What do ya'll think? We are going to do our calendar work on the Smart Board so I don't really need any other "info" up there (today is, tomorrow will be, etc.) I'd love some feedback!

I'm also putting them in my classroom library and in my windows so I'll post pictures when they're done!

Leave me some love!! Hope ya'll are having a good summer!

  1. I'm going to try to make some tissue pompoms too for next school year. I think yours came out cute! I look forward to seeing the other pictures when you hang them up there! :)

  2. I like to hang our daily schedule with the calendar and I hung the weather forecast (in 2nd grade). The kids seemed to enjoy it! Cute blog! :)
