Hi guys! I'm trying to stay consistant with my blogging, but if something has to get pushed under the rug... unfortunately, it's blogging. I'm trying to be better! I told myself when and if I got to 20 followers, I'd do my first giveaway. I know, 20 isn't a huge number, but I have to start somewhere.

So here's the deal, leave your email in my comment section (and be sure to follow my blog if you haven't already!) and on September 5th, I will use to select a winner. Now here's the fun part................

The winner can choose any TWO items from my TpT store! Whatever you want!! Here, go look, and pick out what you want!! Click here!

And then, I'm going to pick a SECOND winner to pick one item from my store! So go tell your friends. :-)

Yay! I'm excited. Good luck!

First Day!

So, today was my first day teaching in my dream world. I literally got the position I wanted at the school I wanted and I could not feel more blessed. I LOVE my kinders but man, they're a lot of work. Right when I thought, "Oh man, I don't think I can say to be quiet one more time so I think I'll just use the great classroom management skills of turning the lights off", I realized... they don't know what the heck that even means! :-) So that's when I took a step back, took a deep breath, and realized that they've never done this before (and heck, neither have I!). There were some times that I wanted to pull my hair out, but those were outnumbered by the times that I laughed, smiled, and even felt proud.

To make the day even better, I got a beautiful flower arrangement from my hubby and daughter and an awesome plant from my coach!

I can't wait to go back tomorrow because I already miss them! :-) I hope all of your first days go as well as mine did!

Here's a great cell phone pic of my room.

Labels Freebie!

Hey guys! I hope your summer is going well. I just finished my first week of Summer Reading Camp (basically like summer school) and it went fantastic! :-)

I'm still trying to get my room super organized and finished and I had a random idea the other day that I thought would help keep clutter and papers off my desk. Here's a picture:

Excuse the crappy iPhone picture. I bought the hanging file organizers at Target for $2.99! Score!

If you like these, I'm giving you the printable for free! I did it in black because I think they look best on colored cardstock! Let me know if you like them.

Click Here to download these labels!

So, I was going to take pictures of my room this week so I could post them but....... we had a hiccup. I HAD some really nasty/old/stained carpet in my room and my principal came to me the other day asking if I would like it to be tiled to get rid of that carpet. Um, OF COURSE! So, with that great news, I had to move into the art room for a couple of days and everything that I worked so hard on in my room is now in the hallway. I think I died a little when I saw it. But I know it will look so much better!

So, I will post pictures soon because I really really really love my classroom!

Have a good weekend!

Tissue Paper Pom Poms!

Hey everyone! I took a little break from blogging because, well, to be honest, I had nothing to blog about! I'm sure you all wanted to see pictures of me filing papers and putting away random things in my classroom, right?!  Yeah.. I didn't think so!

So, I asked my mom the other night if she would help me make some tissue paper pom poms and even though it brings back all of these wedding memories that we'd like to NEVER revisit (only because we breathed wedding decorations for months), she said yes. Here are some pics!
I got 10 sheets per package at Hobby Lobby for $1. That was the cheapest I had found besides Dollar Tree, but you get a zillion different colors in those packs. This was ribbon that I already had.

The scraps. We both thought it would be silly to throw them away so I kept them in a ziploc bag and I think I'm going to put them in a vase with fake flowers for my desk. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Well, um, I guess in this case my trash is my treasure? Oh well.

And here's one place where I put some. I just thought this board needed something! But, now I feel like it STIlLL needs something. What do ya'll think? We are going to do our calendar work on the Smart Board so I don't really need any other "info" up there (today is, tomorrow will be, etc.) I'd love some feedback!

I'm also putting them in my classroom library and in my windows so I'll post pictures when they're done!

Leave me some love!! Hope ya'll are having a good summer!

A Freebie, A Caddy, and Pig Tails!

Hey guys!! Can I just say one thing?! This is only my third post and I'm already addicted. I also LOVEEEEE TpT. I haven't made too much money from it YET, but just the fact that someone besides my mom (she has to like it) likes my stuff is so beyond flattering.

So, yesterday I was thinking about something. Why in the world would I post the pictures of my "Classroom Organization" binder and not give ya'll the chance to print the pages out? That was silly. So click the picture to print those out... for free! :) Click here to get them!

Anyways, when I first got on Pinterest (back when I was student teaching) this is one of the first things I pinned and I absolutely KNEW I had to have it for my desk!

So, I decided to try it out. My mother in law had a wooden lazy susan and I literally had everything I needed to make it (spray paint, ribbon, cans, etc.) So..I like to think of this as a freebie for myself! I love free. My husband loves free even more. :)

So, here's mine:

Not too bad! Please excuse the messy desk. Right now I have markers/sharpies that I love in one, pens in one, scissors, and one's empty. I'm thinking maybe the smartboard remote or something. We'll see! This is definitely cuter and cheaper than something I could go buy!

Ok, well.. I'm going to leave you with ONE last picture because I was finally able to get my daughter's hair into pigtails a few days ago and we celebrate things like that at this house.

She's kinda cute, huh?

Have a good weekend everyone!!
