Tissue Paper Pom Poms!

Hey everyone! I took a little break from blogging because, well, to be honest, I had nothing to blog about! I'm sure you all wanted to see pictures of me filing papers and putting away random things in my classroom, right?!  Yeah.. I didn't think so!

So, I asked my mom the other night if she would help me make some tissue paper pom poms and even though it brings back all of these wedding memories that we'd like to NEVER revisit (only because we breathed wedding decorations for months), she said yes. Here are some pics!
I got 10 sheets per package at Hobby Lobby for $1. That was the cheapest I had found besides Dollar Tree, but you get a zillion different colors in those packs. This was ribbon that I already had.

The scraps. We both thought it would be silly to throw them away so I kept them in a ziploc bag and I think I'm going to put them in a vase with fake flowers for my desk. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Well, um, I guess in this case my trash is my treasure? Oh well.

And here's one place where I put some. I just thought this board needed something! But, now I feel like it STIlLL needs something. What do ya'll think? We are going to do our calendar work on the Smart Board so I don't really need any other "info" up there (today is, tomorrow will be, etc.) I'd love some feedback!

I'm also putting them in my classroom library and in my windows so I'll post pictures when they're done!

Leave me some love!! Hope ya'll are having a good summer!

A Freebie, A Caddy, and Pig Tails!

Hey guys!! Can I just say one thing? I.love.blogging! This is only my third post and I'm already addicted. I also LOVEEEEE TpT. I haven't made too much money from it YET, but just the fact that someone besides my mom (she has to like it) likes my stuff is so beyond flattering.

So, yesterday I was thinking about something. Why in the world would I post the pictures of my "Classroom Organization" binder and not give ya'll the chance to print the pages out? That was silly. So click the picture to print those out... for free! :) Click here to get them!

Anyways, when I first got on Pinterest (back when I was student teaching) this is one of the first things I pinned and I absolutely KNEW I had to have it for my desk!

So, I decided to try it out. My mother in law had a wooden lazy susan and I literally had everything I needed to make it (spray paint, ribbon, cans, etc.) So..I like to think of this as a freebie for myself! I love free. My husband loves free even more. :)

So, here's mine:

Not too bad! Please excuse the messy desk. Right now I have markers/sharpies that I love in one, pens in one, scissors, and one's empty. I'm thinking maybe the smartboard remote or something. We'll see! This is definitely cuter and cheaper than something I could go buy!

Ok, well.. I'm going to leave you with ONE last picture because I was finally able to get my daughter's hair into pigtails a few days ago and we celebrate things like that at this house.

She's kinda cute, huh?

Have a good weekend everyone!!

Oooorganization Baby!

So, I really really really love organization. Well, actually.. I love it in my classroom. I would love it at home too, it's just not near as fun!
So, I created some fun labels so that everything in my classroom will be labeled. Overkill? I hope not. I can't decide if I want to laminate these or just put packing tape over them. Probably laminate! What do you think?

Oh, and guess what! You can have them.. for FREE!

Dowload them here! Let me know how you like them by leaving me a comment and following me. I'll be sure to follow you back!

Hello Bloggers!

Hi everyone! This is my very first blog post and I am SO EXCITED! I'm currently getting my classroom ready for next school year but I only have about a month to do it because I'm teaching reading camp that starts in July. Hopefully you guys will get some good ideas from my blog (even though a lot of them will be from others, I'm sure).

When I saw this on Pinterest, I thought it was a great idea. I liked the idea of having a "go to notebook" with all the information I need in one place. Considering I have been in my classroom for a week and I have about 5 different notebooks going with lists, I knew I needed this organization.

I did mine a little bit differently and will most likely add tabs as I find the need for more things! Here's mine:

I'm loving it right now!

I've been going a little bit crazy making labels and fun stuff for my classroom lately.

Keep two things in mind: to always check my TpT store and that I'm new at this blogging thing! :)
